在英文日常會話與寫作中，「舉例」真的超常用。但不同情境，會用不同的說法。下面整理 8 種最常見、最實用的用法 👇
1️⃣ for example（最萬用）意思： 舉例來說用法： 常接「完整句子」👉 口語＋寫作都可以用，非常安全萬用。例句：
Traveling abroad can be stressful. For example, you might lose your luggage. 出國旅行可能會有壓力。舉例來說，你可能會弄丟行李。
Learning English takes time. For example, you need to practice every day. 學英文需要時間。舉例來說，你需要每天練習。
🔎 小提醒：如果想說「拿⋯⋯當例子」，可以用：Take Taipei 101 as an example. 以台北 101 為例。
2️⃣ for instance（偏正式）意思： 舉例來說語氣： 比 for example 稍微正式一點，常見於文章、報告例句：Some countries have strict visa rules. For instance, you may need to apply months in advance. 有些國家的簽證規定很嚴格。舉例來說，你可能要提前幾個月申請。
There are many ways to save money. For instance, cooking at home helps a lot. 省錢的方法很多。舉例來說，在家煮飯很有幫助。
💡 實際差別？日常對話中兩個幾乎可以互換，只是 for instance 看起來更正式。
3️⃣ like（超口語）意思： 像是用法： 後面直接接名詞例句：
I love street food like fried chicken and grilled squid. 我喜歡夜市小吃，像是炸雞和烤魷魚。You should download travel apps like Google Maps and Uber. 你應該下載一些旅遊 App，像是 Google Maps 和 Uber。
⚠️ 注意：like 不能接完整句子，只能接名詞。
4️⃣ such as（比 like 正式）意思： 例如用法： 後面接名詞語氣： 比 like 正式，常見於寫作。👉 寫報告用 such as，比較有專業感。例句：Popular tourist attractions, such as night markets and temples, are always crowded. 熱門觀光景點，例如夜市和寺廟，總是很多人。You should avoid foods such as raw seafood when traveling. 旅行時應該避免生食類海鮮。
5️⃣ including（包括）意思： 包含語氣重點： 表示「本來就在裡面」，不是單純舉例例句：The tour package includes everything, including airport transfer and breakfast. 這個行程包含所有項目，包括機場接送和早餐。I bought many souvenirs, including postcards and keychains. 我買了很多紀念品，包括明信片和鑰匙圈。

6️⃣ and so on（等等）意思： 等等、之類的👉 比較隨意，口語很常見。位置： 放在句尾例句：You need to prepare your passport, visa, tickets, and so on. 你需要準備護照、簽證、機票等等。She talked about her job, her boss, her coworkers, and so on. 她聊了她的工作、老闆、同事等等。
7️⃣ to name a few（僅舉幾例）意思： 只是列舉其中幾個語氣： 有點高級感 & 暗示：其實還有更多。例句：I’ve traveled to many cities in Europe — Paris, Rome, and Berlin, to name a few. 我去過很多歐洲城市——巴黎、羅馬和柏林，僅舉幾例。There are many Thai dishes I love — Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Mango Sticky Rice, to name a few. 我喜歡很多泰國料理——冬蔭功、泰式炒河粉、芒果糯米飯，僅舉幾例。
8️⃣ e.g.（正式書寫用）完整寫法： exempli gratia（拉丁文）意思： 例如常出現在： 括號裡、學術或正式文章例句：You should avoid high-sugar drinks (e.g., soda and bubble tea). 你應該避免高糖飲料（例如汽水和珍奶）。Some countries require vaccines (e.g., yellow fever). 有些國家需要疫苗（例如黃熱病疫苗）。
⚠️ 重要提醒：❌ ex ✅ e.g.ex = 前任 e.g. 才是「例如」！ex. 可以嗎？理論上在某些非常隨便的筆記裡，可能會有人寫 ex. 當作 example 的縮寫。但重點來了：在正式英文裡，ex 幾乎都代表：
ex-boyfriend（前男友）ex-employee（前員工）ex-president（前總統）所以當你寫：
